Stashes provide an easy way to share sets of details with other people in your firm. Stashes can be used to group details together to either share with your colleagues or batch download into your Revit project.
Pirros stashes provide an efficient way to group details, keep them organized, and share easily with your team. For each new stash, you'll set its name. You will also see the date that the stash was created and the number of details currently in the stash.
Users group details together into a stash - think of it as an Amazon cart of details. A stash of details can be shared via a link or email to team members for drafting, printing, and collaboration. Multiple details and sheets from a stash can be downloaded into a new Revit project all at once. Users can also export their entire stash of details to a PDF viewer in order to share with others, include in a cartoon set, and markup details as needed.
Creating Stashes
If you want to curate a group of details for a certain project overtime before downloading them into the Revit model, you will want to create a Stash. Follow the steps below to create a stash for your project details:
Click into the Stashes Page on Pirros.
Click the + New Stash button at the top right
Give your Stash a name (You are free to name it whatever you would like, but we recommend naming it based on the project you are creating it for)
The Active Stash indicates the current stash that you are adding details to. You can only have one active stash at a time. Each page of the platform has an Active Stash reminder to show you which stash you are adding details to.
Once you have chosen your active stash, go back to the details page and shop for details!
After you are finished shopping for details, you can click back into that stash to see all the details you collected.
Here, you can reorganize the details by reordering them.
You can remove details from the stash by un-stashing them.
Then you can export this stash to PDF to add any project specific markups to the group of details.
Once you are finished with your markups, you can drag-and-drop that markup file into the markups section of that stash.
Now, you can share it with any team members on Pirros to send it for downloading into Revit or collaborating on more details to include into the stash.
Any team member that you add as a Viewer can only download this stash as a PDF or straight into the Revit Model.
Any team member that you add as an Editor will be able to add more details to this stash, take any details out of this stash, re-order the details, add a markup file, download to PDF, and/or stage for download into the Revit Model.
Once you are ready to download the stash directly into your model, click the Stage for Download Button.
Please note: Once you click stage for download on a stash, it is going to put all of the details in that stash in your queue for download. Even if you select only a few details in that stash, it is still going to stage all of the details in the stash to download.
Archived Stashes
After downloading a stash to Revit, that stash will automatically become an archived stash. This is to prevent your stashes page from getting cluttered with old project stashes. Please follow these steps if you ever need to recover and reuse an old archived stash:
Click to the Archived User Stashes section on the stashes page
Find the Stash you want to recover and reuse
Open it up and click the Copy and Restore Button at the top right
You will need to rename the Stash for your new project that you are reusing it for.
Then, you have reused your Stash and created a new one with that same grouping of details!
