As project details evolve—due to code changes, firm standards, or design updates—keeping your standard library up to date is essential. With Pirros, the process is simple: update the detail in Revit and sync it back to the platform. We take care of notifying the right people.
When a detail is uploaded or updated, Pirros automatically notifies anyone at your firm who downloaded that detail into an active project within the past year.
Note: These notifications are informational only. They won’t automatically update Revit models; they simply alert users that a previously downloaded detail has been updated.
How to Upload a Detail to Pirros
To upload a detail to Pirros, follow these steps:
Open the Revit model that houses your standard detail library.
Find the detail that needs changes and make any necessary updates as needed:
Once the detail is ready to be uploaded, click on the Upload button and click Sync:
The system will ask you to select the view that you would like to sync to your Pirros account. Click on the dropdown icon under Filter Views and select Recently Changed Views:
You may need to toggle on the Show Views Not on Sheets marker so that you see ALL sheeted and un-sheeted details in your library:
Select the detail(s) that you just updated from the list by clicking on them.
Type what you changed on the detail in the Change Message box. The change message will be uploaded with the detail and be kept in the History tab to show other users what was updated:
Click Submit to push the detail to Pirros:
