What's a Firm Stash?
A firm stash is a shared collection of details that everyone in your firm can access. You can think of it as a folder, or a mini-template, that stores a group of specific details that are often used across projects.
Only administrators can create or edit firm stashes.
What Problem Do Firm Stashes Solve?
Firm stashes are especially helpful for repeating projects. In many cases, team members end up downloading the same set of details multiple times for similar types of projects. This can take up valuable time and lead to inconsistent use of standards.
To avoid this, you can create a firm stash, add the relevant project details once, and make them available for the entire team. Instead of manually searching for and downloading each detail every time, team members can access the stash and download all included details in a single click. This saves time, increases consistency, and helps your team work more efficiently on repeatable project tasks.

Once you save changes, the firm stash will appear at the top right corner of the screen as you can see below. This indicates that whichever details you stash next will automatically be added to the stash that appears at the top right:

User Stashes vs. Firm Stashes
A user stash is a personal collection of details created by an individual user. Every team member can create their own user stashes to organize and store details relevant to their work. By default, a user stash is private and only visible to the person who created it. However, the stash owner has the option to share it with other team members, if collaboration is needed. Once details from a user stash are downloaded into Revit, the stash will automatically be archived. See Create Stashes for more info.
A firm stash will be available to everyone across the firm and, unlike user stashes, a firm stash will never archive upon download.
Navigate to Stashes β User Stashes:
Click on the user stash that you would like to turn into a firm stash and click on the horizontal kebab menu on the top right:
