On Pirros, the All Details page includes your typical details and the project details for cases when you are looking for special conditions. You should use the All Details page when you need to reference past projects to learn from unique conditions.
Entire Detail Library
Consists of details from all your firm's past projects
Contains unique construction conditions that are encountered less frequently
Represents a database of past project details available for reference and markup
The All Details page contains all of your firm's details and allows team members to add to this library as they complete new projects. This allows anyone to quickly discover how different conditions have been detailed on past projects.
View Detail
When looking at a specific detail, there are multiple actions you can take from the page:
Download straight into a Revit model or download PDF to markup the detail
Click on the link to sheet to view the entire sheet
Click on the project number to view the project information from which that detail is from
Add additional tags and notes
Add related files such as specifications, previous RFIs, live photos from the field, and more.
View duplicate details, detail history/versioning, and detail usage data.
Similar Details
Similar details and duplicate details automatically get grouped together, so that users can see all the slight variations of a detail in one place. You can compare and contrast all of the different versions in order to use the detail that is the closest fit for your condition.
Versioning
You can view the Detail History on the detail page to see any and all of the updates to that detail made by the members of your firm. You can update details periodically as code cycles change and RFI's are uncovered. You are able to track all the history and older versions of the detail and see what changed and why it changed.
Detail Notes
Add rich text notes to your details and projects for your whole team to view. You have the capability to incorporate links, lists, and complex notes to details and projects.
Use Detail Notes to provide additional information about a detail for your team. For example, you can provide key information for designers to take into account when using the detail like what annotations to change. Also, you can add links to documents like specifications and calculations stored outside of Pirros.
Tags
Add specific tags to certain details or sets of details in order to easily filter through to keywords when searching. With tags, it is easy to organize your details with grouping and keywords for easier reuse by all levels of employees.
When searching through your past project detail, utilize tags to filter down search results to the specific detail you are looking for.
Related Files
Include related files such as lighting submittals, RFIs, and more. Search for the detail you want to attach a file to. Then go into that Detail Info Page. On the Detail Parameters menu, you can see that there is a related files portion with the number of attached files to this detail. Click on the files button to drag and drop or choose a file from your computer to upload to this detail. Once you click upload, the file will automatically attach to this detail and will be accessible to your entire team on Pirros.
To download a related file from Pirros, you just have to click the files button on Related Files to see the files attached to this detail. Click on the file you want to view and it will automatically download to your computer and pop up in your PDF viewer.
You are able to attach related files from almost any file source so you are not limited to attaching only PDF documents. You can attach word documents, Illustrator files, and everything else.
Other Details on Same Sheet
On the bottom of the detail info page, there is a section that calls out all of the other details on the same sheet. Here, you will find all of the other details that were originally on the same sheet of a project.
Referenced Details
Uploaded details will include buttons that link to referenced details. The forward references link to any views that are called out in that detail, while the backwards references are any views that refer to or call out the current detail. For example, wall elevation (backward reference) calls out the wall assembly detail (forward reference).
Note: Admins can choose which projects to flag as reference only. With this feature, you can upload older projects so that your team members ca reference them to design insights, but they would be able to download them so that you can maintain the most recent modeling standards.
