If you are working directly in a model on Revit, you can upload details straight from the model you are working on! Uploading directly from Revit using the Pirros plugin, allows you to have more control over the details that you upload from a model. You can hand pick the few details that you want to upload. If you would like to upload the entire model, the fastest way of doing this is through the web app.
To upload details directly from your current Revit model to specific project in Pirros, you must follow these steps:
First, you MUST have the Revit Pirros Plugin downloaded.
After you have downloaded the Pirros Revit Plugin:
Open a Revit model that you want to include into Pirros.
Go to the Pirros tab on Revit to find our Pirros Plugin
Click on the Settings Button to Login to your Pirros Account
Once you have logged in, click back to Settings and Open Project Settings
Identify your model as either a Project model or a Typical Details model
If the model is a Project Model, you will need to insert the Project Name and Project Number to link this model with a new/existing project on the Pirros site.
Now you are ready to upload details!
Click the Upload button and click SYNC
Filter Views to show Not Linked Details
You may need to toggle on the Show Views Not on Sheets marker so that you see ALL sheeted and un-sheeted details in your library
Pick and choose which details, schedules, legends, and sheets you want to upload onto Pirros (These will upload under the project name and number that you inserted in the Project Settings)
Then Click Submit!
Depending on the size of your model and the number of details uploading, this may take a while. All you have to do is wait until you get a "Finished" pop-up on Revit.
Now, your details from that Revit model are uploaded onto Pirros and ready for use by all your firm's members.
