To request that a project-specific detail be promoted to your firm's typical library -- or to request an updated version of an existing typical detail -- use the Request Typical Version feature. This sends a request to your admin team to review the detail and create a standardized version.
What Is a Typical Detail?
A typical detail is a vetted, firm-standard detail approved by your admin team. Typical details carry the Typical Detail tag and are intended for reuse across all projects.

What Happens After You Submit
Your admin receives a notification with your request.
The admin reviews the detail and decides whether to:
Promote it to the typical library as-is
Create a modified typical version based on it
Respond with feedback if the detail is not suitable for standardization
Once a typical version is created or updated, it appears in the library with the Typical Detail tag.
FAQ
Q: Can I request a typical version for any detail?
A: Yes. You can request a typical version for any detail in the library.
Q: What if a typical version already exists?
A: Submit the request and explain what needs to be updated. Your admin reviews the existing typical against the newer version and decides whether to update it.
Q: How is this different from flagging a detail?
A: Flagging covers any issue (errors, outdated content, general feedback). Requesting a typical version specifically asks your admin to promote or update a detail in the typical library. You can also flag a detail and select the "Request Typical Version" flag type -- both workflows reach your admin.
Q: Will the original project detail change after the typical version is created?
A: No. The project-specific detail remains unchanged. Your admin creates a separate typical version based on it.
Q: How do I find typical details in the library?
A: Filter by the Typical tag on the Details page, or search with the keyword "typical." Typical details are also identifiable by the Typical Detail tag on their detail card.
