To begin using Pirros, you must include past project details on the platform so that you can fully get the value of easily searching through your past project details to reuse / reference something for a new/current project.
To begin uploading projects, there are two ways to upload the fully Revit models onto Pirros (each only take a few minutes to get started):
Upload Models Using the Drag-and-Drop Feature
On the Details page on Pirros, Click the + Add Details button on the top right
Now you are on the Upload New Source Models page, where you can easily drag and drop the Revit models that you want to include on the database
With each model, you will need to select or create a project name and number in the dropdown
If you need to create a new project, click Create New Project and fill out the project name and number associated with the model
Do that for all the models
Once you are finished, click Upload
Upload Models Using the BIM360/ACC integration Feature
On the Details page on Pirros, Click the + Add Details button on the top right
Now you are on the Upload New Source Models page, where you can click the Autodesk tab on the left to Link Autodesk to your Pirros Account.
Click Link Autodesk and Sign into your account
After signing in, you will see all the projects in your BIM360 account
Choose which projects to include onto the database
With each model, you will need to select or create a project name and number in the dropdown
If you need to create a new project, click Create New Project and fill out the project name and number associated with the model
Do that for all the models
Once you are finished, click Upload
Add Custom Project Parameters that will Organize your Projects
While you are uploading your projects, you will want to include custom project parameters onto Pirros that will help users filter down based on specific conditions and easily find the details they need.
To add custom parameters to all your projects:
On the top right of your screen, click on the dropdown on your initials to click the Settings button.
Under Firm Settings, click on the Project Filters tab
Click Add a New Filter
Add a filter name, and filter type
Fill in the Blank
Any User or Admin can fill in the blank for this filter on any project
Works well with filters like: Location, Project Manager, Principal, etc
Single Value from DropDown
Single value allows Users or Admins to select one item from the predefined list of options you have made.
Works well with filters like: IBC/CBC Version, Project Type, Firm Office, etc
Multiple Values from DropDown
Multiple value allows Users or Admins to select one or more items from the predefined list of options you have made
Works well with filters like: Building Material, Construction Type, etc
Make sure to click Enter in between each value option
Click OK when you are finished
These parameters are fulled customizable and editable by the Admins at your firm.
Add Project Parameters to each Project on Pirros
You must add parameters to each of the projects uploaded onto Pirros to provide a filter-able database for your users to easily search through and find what they are looking for.
Go to the Projects Page on Pirros
Here you will see all the projects you have uploaded models to in your database
Click into a project to add parameters to it
Click Edit on the top right
Here you will add all of the project specific parameters for that project and click save
Make sure to do this for all the projects you include on your database
