What it means: Your file was created in a newer version of Revit than
our system expected.
How to fix:
1. Add your Revit version to the filename before uploading
- For Revit 2025: MyProject_R25.rvt
- For Revit 2024: MyProject_R24.rvt
- For Revit 2023: MyProject_R23.rvt
2. Upload the renamed file

Unsaved Cloud Model
What it means: You're trying to upload a cloud-based model that hasn't
been saved in your current Revit version.
How to fix (choose one option):
Option 1: Publish the model
1. In Revit, publish your cloud model
2. Upload the published version
Option 2: Create a local copy
1. In Revit, go to File → Detach from Central
2. Save the detached copy locally
3. Upload the detached file

Authentication & Session Errors
Token Expired
What it means: Your Autodesk account session expired while processing
your file.
How to fix:
1. Try uploading again
2. If the error persists:
- Disconnect your Autodesk account
- Reconnect your Autodesk account
- Try uploading again

Authentication Failed
What it means: We couldn't verify your Autodesk account credentials.
How to fix:
1. Try uploading again

Worksharing Errors
Worksharing Checkout Failed
What it means: The file is workshared and cannot be processed in its
current state.
How to fix:
1. In Revit, open your workshared file
2. Go to File → Detach from Central
3. Save the detached copy to your computer
4. Upload the detached copy to Pirros

Checked Out
What it means: Another user currently has this workshared file checked
out.
How to fix:
1. Ask the other user to close the file completely
2. Have them select Relinquish All Mine before closing (if prompted)
3. Ensure no one has the file open
4. Try uploading again
Important: No user can have the workshared file checked out when
uploading to Pirros.

File Corruption & Quality Errors
Document Cannot Open
What it means: The file cannot be opened. Common causes include password
protection, file corruption, or unsupported add-ins.
How to fix:
1. Open the file in Revit
2. When opening, check the Audit option in the Open dialog
3. Let Revit complete the audit process
4. Save the file as a new copy: File → Save As
5. Upload the new audited copy
If password-protected: Remove the password before uploading.

What it means: The Revit model has corrupted data.
How to fix:
1. Open the file in Revit
2. When opening, check the Audit option in the Open dialog
3. Review any warnings Revit displays
4. Save the file as a new copy: File → Save As
5. Upload the new audited copy

Memory Exhausted
What it means: The model is too large or complex for our system to
process.
How to fix:
1. Purge unused elements:
- In Revit, go to Manage → Purge Unused
- Select all categories and click OK
- Repeat until nothing is left to purge
2. Save the purged model
3. Upload the purged version
Alternative options:
- Split large models into smaller files
- Reduce detail levels in views before uploading

complex geometry or viewport issues.
How to fix:

How to fix:

No Types Selected
What it means: You didn't select any detail types in the upload
settings.
How to fix:
1. In the upload dialog, select at least one type:
- Drafting Views
- Detail Views
- Sheets
