Getting Access to Pirros

How to accept your invite, log in for the first time, and install the plugin.

To start using Pirros, you need an invite from your firm's admin. This article covers what to expect and what to do if something goes wrong.

Step 1: Check Your Email for the Invite

Your admin sends invites from within Pirros. Look for an email from [email protected] with the subject line containing your firm's name and Pirros.

If you don't see it:

  • Check your spam/junk folder

  • Search for "pirros" in your inbox

  • Ask your admin to confirm the email address they used — it must match your work email exactly

  • If your firm uses SSO (Single Sign-On), you may not receive an invite email — go directly to app.pirros.com and sign in with your company credentials

Step 2: Log In for the First Time

  1. Click the link in the invite email, or navigate to app.pirros.com

  2. Enter your email address and the password you set during registration

  3. If your firm uses SSO, click the Sign in with SSO button instead

After logging in, you'll land on the Details page — your firm's searchable library.

Step 3: Install the Revit Plugin

If you use Revit, install the Pirros plugin to download details directly into your projects:

  1. Navigate to app.pirros.com/plugin (or click your initials → Plugin)

  2. Download and run the installer

  3. Close Revit before installing — the plugin won't install properly if Revit is open

  4. Open Revit after installation — a new Pirros tab appears in the top ribbon

  5. Click Pirros → Settings → Login and sign in with the same credentials

You won't need to log into the plugin again for approximately 6 months.

Not a Revit user? You can skip the plugin installation. Pirros's web app at app.pirros.com gives you full access to search, browse, stash, flag, and download PDFs without Revit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I never received an invite email. What do I do?

A: Ask your firm's Pirros admin to re-send the invite. Confirm they're using your correct work email address. Check your spam folder for emails from [email protected].

Q: I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

A: On the login page at app.pirros.com, click Forgot Password and follow the instructions. If the reset email doesn't arrive, see Password Reset Not Working.

Q: Do I need to uninstall an old version of the plugin before installing a new one?

A: No. Installing a new version automatically overrides the previous one. Close Revit before installing.

Q: My firm uses SSO. Do I still need a separate Pirros password?

A: No. With SSO enabled, you sign in using your company credentials (e.g., Microsoft/Azure AD). You won't set a separate Pirros password.
