To report a problem with a family — such as incorrect geometry, wrong types, or missing parameters — flag it for your admin team to review.
Prerequisite: You must be logged into Pirros and have access to the Families module.
How to Flag a Family
Navigate to the Families page from the top navigation bar
Search for and click on the family you want to flag
On the family's full page, click the Flag icon at the top right
In the comment box, describe the issue — for example: "Wall cabinet family is showing backwards in thumbnail and the 36-inch type has incorrect depth"
Use the @ symbol to tag specific colleagues if you want their attention on this flag
Use the attachment icon to attach reference files (specs, screenshots, or corrected RFA files) if relevant
Click the send icon (orange airplane) to submit the flag
Your admin team receives a notification and the flagged family appears in their Management → Flagged Families queue.
What Happens Next
Your admin reviews the flag, makes corrections to the family file, and re-uploads the updated version. Once resolved, the admin clicks Resolve Flags to clear it from the queue. Your comments remain in the family's Flags history for reference.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I flag a specific type within a family, or only the whole family?
A: Flags are applied at the family level. In your comment, specify which type has the issue (e.g., "the 24×36 type is affected").
Q: Will I be notified when my flag is resolved?
A: Yes. When an admin resolves a flag, you'll receive a notification that the family has been updated.
Q: Can I flag a family to suggest it should become a Typical?
A: Yes. Use the flag comment to explain why you think it should be promoted — for example, "We use this family on every healthcare project, it should be a firm standard."
