Add Custom Search Views

This article guides users through creating custom view buckets and adding them under the search bar.

The custom views feature will allow administrators and regular users to generate custom search buckets and save them on their accounts. Each user is able to create their personal saved view. Administrators can create a firm-wide view available for all firm-users to see on Pirros.

Create a Custom View for Regular Users

As a regular user, you can create a custom view for yourself by following the steps outlined below:

  1. Navigate to the Details tab at the top navigation bar:

  2. Click + Add View:

  3. Click Save as a New View:

  4. Type the name of your new custom view and click Save when you are ready:

  5. Once created, your view will by default include every detail across the board. Navigate to your new view by clicking on it:

  6. Narrow down your search using the parameters on the left part of the screen to ensure only the relevant details appear in your new view bucket:

  7. Once you add the relevant parameters, a filter arrow icon will appear next to your new view. Click on the filter icon to apply and save the parameters to that view.

Any filters you apply after creating your custom view will NOT save to that view unless you click on the small filter icon next to the view name. If you click on the filter icon next to to the view name, you can freely switch between different views, such as All Details or Typical Details, and when you return to your custom view, you'll find that your previously applied filters remain intact and preserved.

Please note: Only admins have the ability to create firm-wide views and share them across other accounts. As a regular user, you can create views that are accessible only to you.

Delete a Custom View for Regular Users:

You can delete any of your custom views by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Details screen and click on the X icon appearing next to your custom view name:

  2. Clicking X will remove your view and all the filters applied to that view. You will need to recreate the view from scratch if you need it in the future. We are unable to restore any previously deleted views.


Create Firm Wide Views (for Admins):

As admins, you can create firm-wide views and make them available for your team to add to their personal view options.

  1. Navigate to the Details screen and click + Add New View:

  2. Click Save as a New View:

  3. Type the View Name and enable the Firm View toggle:

  4. Click Save.

  5. After creating a view, you can apply parameters by selecting the relevant filters on the left side of the screen. These filter selections will apply and save to your new view once you click on the filter icon next to the view name:

Once you click Save, your team members (including regular users) can add the view you created to their profile by:

  1. Clicking + Add View on the Details page

  2. Selecting Browse Existing Views:

Enforce Custom Views on Team Members through Promoted Firm Views (for Admins):

Admins can create and enforce custom views on team members’ profiles using the Promoted Firm Views feature. These views are automatically added to each team member’s profile, eliminating the need for them to manually browse or select from existing views. Unlike standard firm-wide views, promoted views cannot be hidden or removed by users, ensuring consistent visibility across the team.

  1. Click + Add View on the Details page:

  2. After naming your view, enable the Firm View and Promoted Firm View toggles:

  3. Click Save.

Once you click Save, the view will be added to your team members' accounts and they will NOT be able to hide/edit/delete them.

Adjust View Settings

All of your firm views and promoted firm views will appear in the Settings. Take the following steps to edit them in the Settings:

Only firm views and promoted firm views will appear in the Settings. Custom views not shared with other users will NOT appear in the Settings. To delete a custom view created for yourself only, click on the X icon next to its name:

Once a custom view is deleted, it cannot be restored.

  1. Click on the downwards arrow at the top right corner next to your initials and click Settings:

  2. Click Saved Views on the left:

  3. You will see all of your firm views appear in the settings. Hover over the promoted views under the Search Order section and drag your promoted views to reorder them for everyone across the board:

  4. Click on the Edit button on the right to change the view settings. You can change the name of your view or turn it into a promoted firm view (to enforce the view onto other user profiles):

  5. Click Save once you are done making changes.
