Set up Single Sign On

Here are the steps to set up SSO for Pirros

Prequisites

To get started, you need the following items:

  • An Azure AD subscription

  • Pirros SAML SSO enabled subscription

  • Pirros Identifier (Entity ID)

  • Pirros Reply URL (Assertion Consumer Service URL)

Step 1

Adding Pirros

To configure the integration of Pirros into Azure AD, you need to add Pirros from the gallery to your list of managed SaaS apps.

  1. Sign in to the Azure portal using your work account.

  2. Select Microsoft Entra ID

  3. Navigate to Enterprise Applications and then select All Applications.

  4. To add a new application, select New application.

  5. Select Create your own application.

  6. Under "What's the name of your app?" input Pirros.

  7. Under "What are you looking to do with your application?" select Integrate any other application you don't find in the gallery (Non-gallery). If a list of recommended gallery applications are shown, do not select any.

  8. Select Create in the bottom of the pane. Wait a few seconds while the app is added to your tenant.

Step 2

Configure Azure AD SSO

Follow these steps to enable Azure AD SSO in the Azure portal.

  1. In the Azure portal, on the Pirros application integration page, find the Manage section and select single sign-on.

  2. On the Select a single sign-on method page, select SAML.

  3. On the Basic SAML Configuration section, click the more/edit icon.

On the Basic SAML Configuration section, enter the values for the following fields:

  1. In the Identifier (Entity ID) section, click Add Identifier and enter the URL located in the SSO tab of your Pirros Settings Page.

  2. In the Reply URL (Assertion Consumer Service URL) section, click Add reply URL and enter the URL located in the SSO tab of your Pirros Settings Page.

  3. Click Save when you have completed steps 1 and 2.

Step 3

Insert Data onto Pirros

You must insert the following information onto Pirros on the SSO tab of your Pirros Settings Page in order to enable SSO.

  1. On the Set up single sign-on with SAML page, in the SAML Certificate section, find Certificate (Base64) and click Download to download the certificate and save it on your computer.

  2. On the Set Up single sign-on with SAML page, in the Set up Pirros section, find Login URL and click Copy to copy the URL and save it on your computer.

  3. Insert both of these items onto Pirros on the SSO tab of your Pirros Settings Page to get your firm's SSO started. Be sure to insert your firm's email domain as well.

Step 4

Add Users and Groups

In this section, you'll add Users and Groups to use Azure single sign-on.

  1. From the left pane in the Azure portal, select Users and Groups.

  2. Select Add Users/Group at the top of the screen.

  3. In the User Properties, follow these steps:

    • Click Users: None Selected

    • Find the users in your database that you want to utilize SSO for Pirros.

    • Click Select.

    • You will get a notification when the Application assignment succeeds.
